Im writing this while network happen down at my office now ! Songs, who don’t like to hear any song? It did will cheer you up, sometimes the beat will make your body move, sometimes the lyric will flew you back to a time that have passed, sometimes a song accidentally heard when you were doing something either alone or with somebody, and if you hear the song it will automatically reminds you of the event. Sometime the movie producer make a song as the soundtrack of as theme song of the movie. Well as I know, everybody enjoy to hear music,song or whatever it calls, whoever you are, a managing director, a manager, an entrepreneur or even a truck driver. Songs or music it will make life more cheerful and coulourful terlepas dari jenis music apapun itu, either dangdut like keong racun or kopi dangdut, hip metal like Korn or System of a Down (I like this one!), Trance like DJ Tiesto or slowpop such as Celine Dion or Il Divo or Punk like Rancid (in anyhow, they’re the legend) oia saya suka Black Legend (wah nyambungnya dimana tuh??)

This time I really wanna write about song. Lagu, lagu apa yang menurut kalian, liriknya T-O-P banget, nampol banget, artinya daleeeeem bener, yang tidak ada duanya ??? lagu yang nadanya OK banget, Let try to take a look closer, maksudnya bang, tuh lagu, lagu cinte ato lagu dangdut ??? . . . .apa aja dah yang penting liriknya bisa bikin klepek-klepek yang denger noh !

Let see ya, menurut saya emmmm . . .boleh disambung lagi ya,saya mau makan dulu, laparrrrr !

Ada dua orang teman saya, 2 orang yang mempunyai high technical skill dalam permusikan, Pengamat music kelas berat seberat badan saya itu tidak mau disebutkan jati dirinya (anyway, thanks dude for replying my email) 2 orang yang baik hati, murah senyum, lucu suka memberi dan tidak sombong itu bilang kalo lagu yang mereka sebutin itu, adalah lagu yang punya lirik lagu yang bisa bikin para pendengarnya (mungkin spesifik tambatan hatinye mereka kali ye) klepek-klepek, alias isi lagunya adalah T-O-P banget menurut versi mereka.  Oknum pertama bilang kalo lagunya Whitney Housten yang The greatest Love of all itu maknyus banget, sayang sekali beliau tidak menyebutkan alasannya, tapi kalo dilia dari liriknya, soooo motherhood, mungkin karna beliau mempersiapkan diri menjadi seorang ibu yang baik buat anak-anaknya, Amin ! (loh emang isi lagunya apa bang ???) yuk kita liat sendiri

birthday

This time I want to write about birthday. What is the meaning of birthday, why it seems  birthday become so special ? why do the birthday boy/girl need to blow up the candle ? well can somebody answer my question ? emm let see . .

Simon says : it’s a day to be thankful for every blessings and guidance that God have gave, a day to to think what we have been done for the past one year, it’s a day to  . . .(panjang amat sieh mon . . .) He says that birthday need to be celebrate with his closest person, who ??? don’t know, you can ask him directly

Elisa says : just as a point of time -à artinya emmm . . .dia aja bingung, apalagi gue ?

Astrid says : emm buat gue, ulang tahun itu artinya bersyukur. (titik) à trus gue Tanya, maksudnya ? then she answered, ya gitu aja ! dia aja bingung, apalagi gue ??? *tepok jidat*

Maria bilang : ulang taun itu tambah tua pasti, tp tambah dewasa itu pilihan, jd ulang taun artinya instrospeksi untuk menjadi lebih dewasa.. (no comment ah, soalnya nyinggung umur) ^_^ im getting old nieh =)

In my humble opinion, a birthday consist of two words : birth and day, it means, one year ago, two years ago, three years ago or even twenty, fifty years ago I was, we were born,  it’s a day to remember that we are getting older, and commonly should be better than the previous, just it ! but for somebody outhere, birthday become so special then he/she will spend a lot of money to celebrate, instead of using the money for more important things. 

There’s a lot of birthday celebration that I have seen or attend either only personal party or big celebration, but commonly they’re all the same, the way they celebrate it ! Cakes, gifts, food, beverages, candle blow up etc . . until one day, when I was on my business trip in SG, when I and my BD colleagues were having dinner in Brazillian Restaurant,  it seems the chefs were really ‘import’ from brazil, and of course the taste of the food really soooo brazil, emmm (mau lagi . . .loh????) very nice food ! (loh kok jadi ngomongin makanan ??) ^_^ and they were keep serving the guesses, offering food, more and more . . chicken sir ? , pork sir ? , beef sir ?? you want another beer sir ??bla . .  bla . . bla . .  until one moment they’re stop serving and all of the employees  grab the tradisional music instrument and then sang a ‘birthday song’ in brazillian language ,then to English version wooow, very ‘cool ! unfortunately I don’t bring my handycam. If somebody sing for you on your birthday along with normal band (drum, guitar, bass etc) it so common, but this one, the sing for you with traditional brazzilian music instrument, this very impressed me !

Back few years ago, exactly emm maybe 23 years ago, when I was in 1^st grade in Elementary school, I was the birthday boy, my mom bring the cake, and the teacher at the moment, mam berhitu, asked me to stand in front of the class, and the class will sing the happy birth day for me. See the photo below (man I still keep the photo until now) yah namanya juga kenang-kenangan !

So for me, first thing to do in my birthday is, praying to say thank you Lord Jesus for you every blessing, guidance and everything that you have gave in my life and then will give my wishes list (dasar manusia, bisanya hanya meminta . . . ) walopun akan ditutup dengan kata : Thy will, will be done, Amien !

Its all about writing

Emang dari dulu sieh, saya suka nulis, nulis apa ajah, entah uneg-uneg ato sekedar corat-coret yang gak jelas. Mungkin ini efek dari tangan yang tak bias diam plus emang saya tak suka terlalu banyak bicara ato mendengarkan orang yang terlalu banyak bicara. Biasanya saya nulis in a piece of paper lalu entah kertasnya dibuang tao dirobek-robek, kalo kata junkie ; ilangkan “barbuk” . Kalo ada yang pernah liat file saya waktu kuliah, pasti banyakan corat-coretan yang gak jelas daripada catatan mata kuliah. Gimana mau nulis pelajaran mas kalo masuk aja males ?? ^_^

Kalo ada yang ‘ngeh’ lagi tentang Friendster ato Facebook kumpulan kelompok ‘persahabatan ‘, nah itu juga karya ricky atmaja, yang ternyata some ‘silly’ person yang tidak menghargai kreativitas main copy paste aja salah satu karya gue trus dia bikin yang mirip (what the F*ck??) So don’t worry lah, toh tulisan itu tidak dipatenkan, balik lagi soal tulis menulis, once I was making my own journey at Multiply (kalo gak salah) back to few years ago, unfortunately, tuh blog ‘mati’ gitu aja tanpa sempat berkembang until one day, a friend of mine, sent me a invitation to take a look, disuruh clingak clinguk liat blog dia. Setelah gue ‘telanjangi’ tuh blog, gak tau kenapa, muncul aja ‘hasrat’ untuk menulis kembali, and my friend encouraged me to do so, so Astrid Damayanti Haryoto Putri (gue tulis balik nieh nama lengkap loe, sebagai balesan telah menuliskan nama lengkapku diblogmu, hihihi) ini loh blognya ricky atmaja yang diberi nama Journey To The End, Kenapa diberikan nama itu ???Karna hidup ini adalah sebuah journal, ada permulaan, ada juga akhiran dan blog ini akan menulis tentang kisah kehidupan Ricky Atmaja dari berbagai aspek kehidupan, kalo nyontek slogan kantor yang kesohor itu, means Work Life Balance (nyambung gak ya ?),  dari persahabatan, rohani, pendidikan dll, So I thank everybody who visit my blog, overmore willing to give comments, if there’s any correction will be higly appreciate in order to make this blog better and better.  Enjoy it !ok deh

Hari itu hari libur tanggal merah di bulan Maret, hari Selasa pula, hari raya Nyepi kalau ngga salah. Niat hati awalnya mau “menyepi” juga, tidur seharian di rumah, nyetel dvd, tidur lagi, makan…. Tapi ajakan tiga orang krucil ini rasanya terlalu sayang untuk dilewatkan begitu saja. Alhasil hari itu dengan mengerahkan segenap kekuatan bangunlah jam 6 pagi (hari libur bangun pagi? Duh!!) dan berangkaaattt.... ke dufan! What? Dufan?? Hari gene masih ke Dufan?@##% Siapapun yang mengaku warga Jakarta dan sekitarnya pasti sudah pernah ke tempat ini, mulai dari umur 10 tahun yang coba-coba gajah bledug sampai umur 20 tahun-an yang menjajal adrenalin di Halilintar (yang sebelum ada Tornado dan Histeria, terhitung paling menantang kekuatan jantung kita)

Satu hari terlewati, mulai dari panas bling-bling, sampe hujan yang menderas, dari basah oleh keringat sampai dengan basah beneran karena main di arung jeram. Mulai dari duduk ”santai” di halilintar sampai jungkir balik terkocok di Tornado, semua terlewati di hari itu. Mulai dari tawa nyengir di pagi hari, sampai pucat pasi (lirik Simon) karena perut mules terkocok di KoraKora. Akhirnya hari itu diakhiri dengan makan malam soto betawi di daerah Manggarai sebelum akhirnya pulang.

Hari di Dufan itu adalah satu dari beberapa hari yang terlewati bersama mereka. Temen-temen ”baru” ku ini bukanlah mereka yang baruku kenal seminggu atau dua minggu. Mereka ada dan beredar dalam kehidupanku di kantor selama bertahun-tahun, dan ngga ingat gimana awalnya sampai kita bisa terus bisa jalan. Curhat-curhat colongan sampai dengan berbagi tawa terus mengisi hari :-)
